GRIST.ORG: Just stick this portable outlet to your window to start using solar power
by Sarah Laskow
We have seen a lot of solar chargers in our day. And among of all of them, this is the first one we’ve seen that we will definitely run out and buy as soon as it’s made available in the U.S. It’s a portable socket that gets its power from the sun rather than the grid. You plug into a window instead of into the wall. It’s easy.
That was the whole point, according to the designers, Kyohu Song and Boa Oh: “We tried to design a portable socket, so that user can use it intuitively without special training,” they write.
It is really simple. The portable socket attaches to a window like a leech to human skin. On its underside, it has solar panels. The solar panels suck energy from the sun. The charger converts that energy into electricity. You plug in to the charger.
Even better, the charger stores that energy. After 5-8 hours of charging, the socket provides 10 hours of use. You can pop it off the window, stick it in your bag, and use it to charge up your phone with solar energy, even if you’re sitting in a dark room.

Bras Do Not Work and Cause More Problems
The findings from a 15-year, longitudinal study of more than 300 women in France, suggest that breasts would gain more tone, and would support themselves, if no bra was used. Why? Bras appear to limit the growth of supporting breast tissues, leaving the breast to wither and degrade more quickly. In fact, women who stopped wearing bras experienced a 7mm lift in their nippleseach year that they did not wear a bra, and bra-less women developed firmer breasts, and stretch marks faded. And, in direct opposition to the myth that the bra eases back pain for women with larger breasts, not wearing a bra actually eased the pain, while wearing a bra did not.

So about 6 months ago I got the outline of a map of the world done as a tattoo on my back because I have been traveling since I was 3 years old, with my family and on my own more recently. I’m obsessed with travel, new foods, new people, new animals and sights, nightlife, anything different amazes and fascinates me. My parents are both anti-tattoo, but after I explained to them what it means to me and how they unwittingly spawned the idea for its creation they have both come to accept and enjoy it- my mom even came with me to my last appointment getting my ink done! It’s a never-ending journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next!!

Maggie is an adventurer.
Maggie is the best woods cat I’ve ever had. She followed us for five miles in the wilderness. She stayed right with us the whole time. She had never been in the depths with us, and she enjoyed it sooo much! She frolicked around, on mossy logs, climbing on trees, and looking over cliff edges. Even climbing them. She’s my little hiking buddy. And, the sweetest cat I’ve ever known. I’m glad I have such a precious kitty in my life! She means the world to me! (:THIS IS SO CUTE
